Anya Gildner

I’m Anya. I am the cofounder of Discosloth, a paid search agency, and the author of several digital marketing books. I’m originally from Moldova. After studying abroad and working in several large corporations and startups, I co-founded Discosloth in 2017. While I mostly work in strategy for our clients, I’ve also written a few technical books and spoken at conferences. When I’m not working, I’m either reading fantasy, drinking wine, eating chocolate, baking sourdough bread, or more likely, all of it simultaneously. Although we lived abroad for several years (I’ve visited over 30 countries [by choice] and speak 3 languages [not by choice!] I now live in Fayetteville, Arkansas with my husband Gil and our puppy Frodo, where I spend as much time as possible outdoors.

My Books

The Beginner’s Guide to Google Ads is a short guide to creating basic PPC campaigns. This book was adapted from our popular online guide which we released in 2018. This book has been translated into French in partnership with Ad’s Up Consulting and published as Bien débuter avec Google Ads by Editions Eyrolles.

Becoming A Digital Marketer was our first book. Intended for entry-level marketers and small business owners, on how to gain the hard and soft skills required for success in the industry. This book, which I co-wrote with my husband Gil, is on the syllabus for a few dozen university courses including at Gonzaga University, West Virginia University, University of Texas, and others.

Building a Successful Micro-Agency is our book written after founding & scaling Discosloth over five years. It describes our micro-agency model, with a focus on cashflow, margins, branding, and building a sustainable business that doesn’t require constant hustle in order to succeed.
